Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series
Ben Crosland in the Interbank FX Mustang
Speedworks is the Official "Arrive and Drive" program for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series. Speedworks has three FR500S Mustangs in their stable, #44, #45 and #21. The number 45 is piloted for the season by young Ben Crosland sponsored by Interbank FX, a leading provider of trading services and offering proprietary technology and tools to trade spot foreign currency online.
I say young, as Ben in only 16 but shows a lot of potential and promising future. Because of his age he wasn't able to drive the first double-header at Homestead (you have to be 18 to race in Florida) but ever since his debut at Barber, he has shown steady improvement against drivers with far more experience:
Race 1: Barber Motorsport Park: - 18th place
Race 2: Barber Motorsport Park: - 12th place
Race 3: New Jersey - 7th place
Race 4: Laguna Seca - 6th place
Race 5: Mosport - 5th place
Race 6: Mid-Ohio - 7th place
Kenny constantly reviews data when engineering
the #45 and #44 cars at Barber.
If you have ever thought of going racing, the Mustang Challenge is a great leg up to Pro Racing. With equal Mustang FR500S race cars, it mostly falls on the driver, car preparation and set-up. And the competition is really getting close. Here is a review of the season in Wes Duenkel photos and video - http://www.mustangchallenge.com/index.php/media/photos/
Think you may want to give it a try? Speedworks has only one seat open for Autobahn and the season finale at Miller Motorsports Park. So if you want to go racing let me know - info@kennybrown.com or call Peter Parrott at Speedworks 317-241-3664.
