Slick Trick for Measuring Ride Height

Kenny Brown Guid To Measuring Ride Height
1 of 1

Before changing springs on your Mustang always measure the starting ride height so you have something to compare to when new springs are installed. The easiest and quickest way that I use is measuring from the ground to the bottom lip of the wheel wells through the center of the wheel. If you do this and discover that no two corners on your car are the same, you just found out why adjustable coil-over struts are just so darn handy.

How Low Should You Go…

The other day someone asked me, "Is the Shelby GT500 your new Cobra R?"…  After some reflection, the comment did resonate with me in fact it remind me of 2003 and 2004, when around 200 Cobra R race cars started showing up at my door.  That’s about the time Cobra-R owners serious about track-days and racing were surpassing the capabilities of their cars and wanted to go to the next level.

I have a saying - "A Bad Day at the Track is better than a Good Day at the Office!"  That makes a good day at the track absolutely PRICELESS.  Well I had one of those priceless days at the track recently at Putnam Park.  Over the winter one of my customers George decided to step up the performance of his 2001 Kenny Brown Cobra.  George does quite a few track days and wanted to be able to run with the really fast guys.  So he added a Vortech Supercharger and had the engine upgraded.  More power is great but unless the rest of the car is

Hot off the press - Not exactly, but it is fresh out of manufacturing, the first official pilot production run of Kenny Brown Super Subs rolls out of the Heidts facility in Wauconda, IL.  It's very symbolic given the occasion, for the first pilot production run of Kenny Brown products to be the Double-Cross Subframe Connectors.

The H&R RSS Mustang Coil Over Suspension Kit - First Class Stuff!

A good spring and shock package is critical to maximize performance, handling and grip. The trick is to come up with enough spring rate to support the chassis and enough shock rate to control motion – all without being so firm that the car skips across the bumps or bounces your fillings out.

Ask Kenny – Brake Ducts

1 of 1

I see you have some new products! I've been looking for a good brake duct kit and have a few questions on yours. The photo on the web site only shows the plate that attaches to the spindle. Are hoses and some kind of brackets for mounting the inlet end of the hose included in the kit too? If not, what size hose is needed? One brake engineer told me it's not the greatest idea to completely close off the eye of the rotor unless there's at least a 4inch hose supplying air.

Kenny Talks Tech: Cobra IRS Rear Steer Kit for ’99 – ’04 Cobras

1 of 1

Why a Rear Steer Kit for ’99 – ’04 Mustang Cobras? Simple. To help correct rear steering geometry issues in lowered Cobras.
This all started in October of ’99 when I was fortunate enough to be invited to Road Atlanta by Ford Racing for the media preview and test drive of the Ford Racing FR500 Mustang prior to its unveiling at SEMA.
