Wauconda, IL, September 15, 2011 -- Kenny Brown Performance steps up and sponsors Paul Brown’s GTS Boss 302S Mustang for the remainder of the SCCA Pro Racing Pirelli World Challenge season.  Kenny Brown is once again making his mark on professional racing providing technical support to his son Paul all year, and now joining the program as associate sponsor in effort to afford Paul the opportunity to win his first professional championship title.

“Paul has always been an accomplished driver, says the elder Brown of his son’s efforts. “This year I have been supporting Paul technically throughout the season, and we have made great strides in the development of his new Boss 302S Mustang race car.”

Kenny Brown has recently re-entered the Mustang performance segment after a multi-year medical hiatus.  He recently celebrated his 25th anniversary of “building the best” in Mustang performance with a three-day track event at Putnam Park Road Course in Indiana.  Brown’s storied 25 year history with Mustangs started when he gave Steve Saleen four national championships as team manager and chief engineer for the Saleen R Mustang Racing team in the 1987 Escort Endurance Series. Interesting enough, Paul started his professional racing career under his Dad’s watchful eye in the parts department on the Saleen racing team.

Paul’s racing career started under his father’s personal instruction in a Kenny Brown Mustang at Topeka’s Heartland Park in the early ‘90s and Paul has been campaigning cars ever since.  Many struggles, and many years later, the younger Brown is looking for his first Pirelli World Challenge championship.

“All of us at Kenny Brown Performance have enjoyed watching Paul race this year,” says Brown, As a racer, I've been pulling for him and his Tiger Racing team.  As a father, I'm proud of the way Paul has handled himself, both inside and outside the car.”

“Paul has been providing me with valuable information and testing data on our new line of Kenny Brown suspension products for 2005 and newer Mustangs. I'm happy we are able to showcase the Kenny Brown Performance brand www.kennybrown.com and help Paul in the last two races of the year”, states the elder Brown. I don't think the average fan understands just how much it takes to make a full season run at a championship, but I do, been there done that. That's why I am looking forward to helping Paul any way I can.”

Going into the Sept 16-18 races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Paul Brown leads the GTS Championship with 1249 points, followed by Ben Crosland with 1028, Eric Foss with 1016.  Additionally, Ford leads Acura in the Manufacturer’s Championship, 91-48.  Be sure to follow Paul’s efforts in this weekend’s race at Laguna Seca and the season finale at Road Atlanta, September 28-30, 2011 www.world-challenge.com.
